THE TWELVE HOUSES

Under the Equal House System, the circle of the zodiac is divided into twelve equal segments, consisting of the 12 houses. Each house is ruled by a zodiac sign. Starting with Aries, the first zodiac sign, the association with each zodiac sign continues chronologically throughout the 11 remaining houses. Each birth horoscope identifies what planets are in each house. Accordingly, it determines how those planets effect the houses and the correlation that they have on our lives.

• The Second House rules business, money, and material possessions and is ruled by Taurus
• The Third House rules communications, writing, education, intellect, short trips, and kinship and is ruled by Gemini.
• The Fifth House rules love, children, and recreation and is ruled by Leo.
• The Sixth House rules work and health and is ruled by Virgo.
• The Seventh House rules relationships and marriage and is ruled by Libra.
• The Eighth House rules long term finances, and death and is ruled by Scorpio.
• The Ninth House rules thought, religion, law, distant travel, and the future and is ruled by Sagittarius.
• The Tenth House rules ambition, social standing, and professions and is ruled by Capricorn.
• The Eleventh House rules, friendships, hopes, desires, and eagerness and is ruled by Aquarius.
• The Twelfth House rules the subconscious mind, inner self, sorrow, and medical matters and is ruled by Pisces.
